Requirements
- Required certification: Rad Tech - Interventional Radiology
- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required 2. Cases: Dialysis fistulas, Contrast, Biopsies, Ablations, Peripherals required; Trauma Level I experience required 3. Certifications: BLS, ARRT R, ARRT Advanced Cert required; copies required with submission 4. License: VA license required but can submit with pending license since able to start work off VA temp authorization; must have license in-hand Wednesday before start date; Nursys verification required for submittal 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 4x10s or 5x8s with one weekday call per week and one weekend call every 2 months; call required depends on individual's skill level 8. RTO: Up to 40 hours guaranteed per 13-week contract; only one pre-approved time off; no additional RTO requests approved after acceptance 9. Returning Staff: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if previously employed at University of Virginia Health system; must be separated for one year and approved by UVA leadership; external travelers cannot work more than 365 days regardless of time off between contracts 10. Travel/Local: 50 mile radius rule; locals not accepted for Interventional Radiology 11. Background: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if aware of background hits 12. Modules: Non-billable up to 16 hours; completed during orientation; vary by specialty; recorded in Workday; excess hours are billable 13. Travel Experience: Not specified as required 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required with no exemptions 16. Special Equipment: Philips ultrasound preferred Critical: Position is for a tech not a nurse.
