- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 1 year experience required; 18 months experience required per general policy 2. Cases: Extremities, Abdomen/GI, Spine/Pelvis, Chest/Thorax, ER, OR, Level 1 Trauma Experience required, Surgery/C-Arm 3. Certifications: BLS and ARRT required; State license required 4. License: IN license pending okay with 2 week ETA; must be in hand prior to start date; temporary licenses obtainable once permanent license applications submitted 5. Education: University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation 6. EMR: Cerner; no specific charting required for IU health positions 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12s with every Saturday required; OT available and encouraged; call-in policy requires makeup shifts 8. RTO: Auto-approve 5 days non-holiday RTO or less; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: Any permanent or PRN employee must be away 12 months before applying as traveler; consecutive contract policy requires designated breaks after 12 months 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local; locals accepted for Surgical Services, Allied, IU Clinics at lower rate; not accepted for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, ER positions 11. Background: Policy noted prior to submission for approval prior to offer 12. Modules: Not specified 13. Travel Experience: First time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15.
