- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required 2. Cases: Schizophrenia, schizoaffective, bipolar, major depression 3. Certifications: BCLS and MOAB (facility will offer MOAB) 4. License: NC or Compact license required in hand at time of start 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 12 HR NIGHTS 18:45-07:15; no call requirement; every other weekend 8. RTO: 7 days maximum auto-approved (not on holidays); must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; no RTO during first week due to orientation 9. Returning Staff: Previous Novant Health or New Hanover employees must wait 12 months; must disclose previous employment 10. Travel/Local: Candidates under 50 miles offered lower local rate 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Non-billable; must be completed pre-start; non-acute roles 4-5 hours via online learning, Zoom, webinar, and in-person classes 13. Travel Experience: Unit will accept first-time travelers 14. Scrubs: Solid print navy blue or white 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR systems Critical: Must complete lab work within 48 hours after signing. Patient ratios 1:8. Float required to other medical units, EDBH or geriatric BH unit. 24-hour orientation required. Fatigue policy: cannot work more than 5 days in a row or 60 hours per week.
