Requirements
- Required certification: Psychiatric
- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1+ year RN experience required (minimum 1 year) 2. Cases: Behavioral Health/Psych RN for anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, depressive disorders, psychotic disorders, schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, substance use, suicidal behavior, trauma-and stressor-related disorders 3. Certifications: BCLS required, CPI and First Aid (can be obtained during orientation); AHA certifications required 4. License: WV or Compact license required (pending license acceptable) 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Avatar experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 shifts (Days or Nights 7pm-7:30am), weekdays, every other weekend; strict attendance policy 8. RTO: Holiday requests limited to no more than 1 of the 3 major holidays; RTO must be included at time of submittal 9. Returning Staff: Permanent employees cannot return as travelers; travelers may only work contracts for up to 1 year; previous probationary actions considered case-by-case 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted; first time travelers accepted 11. Background: DHHR Release Form required within 48 hours of signing; fingerprints must be completed in West Virginia 7-10 business days prior to start 12. Modules: 8 hours of modules, non-billable, completed prior to start, included in 16 hours NBO; must be completed before orientation or candidate will be turned away 13. Travel Experience: Not required 14. Scrubs: Blue scrubs provided (Navy or Royal Blue) 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: Mechanical restraints Critical: Fingerprinting must be completed in WV 7-10 days before start. Three manager/charge references within past 2 years required. Patient ratios: Adults/Forensic 1:15-20, Adolescent 1:8.
