- Unit Notes:Department: Behavioral Health | RN HOUSING: Confirm the candidate has looked into housing in the area with the submittal. Leads available. - # Beds: 10 - Nurse/Patient Ratios: At most 1:5 (mostly 1:3). - Required certifications: BLS - Patient Populations/Common diagnoses: Alcohol use disorder, Polysubstance use, Alcohol detox, Depressive disorder, Bipolar disorder, Schizophrenia. Adults only. Psych and detox. - Experience: One year of experience. First time traveler okay. - Do you ever have IV's on this unit?: Rarely - Charge Nurse 24/7 & do they take patients: Yes there is a charge and they take patients. - Do you use physical restraints on this unit?: Rarely. - Are there nurse aids or mental health specialists on this unit: Yes, one per 7a-7p shift- CNA/Unit Coordinators- CNA and secretarial duties. - Is RT available if needed?: Yes - Is there tele on this unit: No - Shifts & Scheduling: No self or block schedules. 12 hour shifts. 7-7, 19-07. Director makes the schedule. There is flexible scheduling. - Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend. - Holiday Requirements: Every other holiday. - Is there call or a standby requirement?: No - Floating Requirements: No - Scrub Color/Dress Code: Staff members on the unit have the option to wear street clothes or scrubs. Apparel must be appropriate and not provocative or suggestive in nature. No tank tops, blue jeans or open-toed shoes are allowed. Clothing must be neat and clean. Staff must bear in mind that they serve as role models for patients and should dress accordingly. Photo name tags must be worn by all staff while on duty. - Unit/Department specific orientation: 2-3 days with a preceptor.
