Job Description
Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a PRN – PICU
Shift: Nights/ 7p-7:30a, 12×1, 12hrs/week
Length: 13 Weeks
Requirements:
- DC license
- 2 years of acute care PICU experience required
- BLS, PALS
Other Details:
Requirements:
– 2 years of acute care PICU experience required.
– BLS, PALS advanced certifications required
– Active RN License
– May be required to float to NICU (mostly grower/feeders and stepdown level NICU pts), general peds, or peds transplant
Unit information:
We have a 13-bed combined PICU/Gen Peds/Peds Hem/Onc Unit. We have a separate Pediatric Procedural Sedation Unit.
-Experience with Liver, small bowel, multivisceral transplantation, Gastroschisis, Biliary atresia, DKA, Craniofacial abnormalities, Spinal fusion, Hematology/oncologic diagnoses, Status epilepticus, Status asthmaticus, Intractable seizures, Tracheomalacia , Septic shock , ARDS, Renal failure
– Two positive supervisory references, including one from the most recent assignment, must be current and support at least two years of experience in the previous 3 years.
Orientation Details:
– Orientation held on Monday for a 12-hour shift during day hours. First 4 hours consist of modules in classroom setting and remaining 8 hours will be a shadow shift
Shift Details:
-Times: 7p-7:30a
Additional Details:
– Charting system – Cerner
– Scrub Color – Any Color (no white pants)
– 1 year separation period for previous perm staff members
– Facility reviews profile and holds interview
