- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required 2. Cases: Vents, trach, and G tube experience required; care of ventilated patients with chronic illness; tracheostomies with chronic ventilators 3. Certifications: BCLS, PALS required; copies required with Nursys for RNs 4. License: IL RN License required in hand for submission (compact licenses not accepted; can take up to 3 months to issue) 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Meditech experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Every other weekend required; no on-call; float within scope required; 1:3-4 ratios 8. RTO: Must be approved and included in contract prior to start date; no RTO may be added after contract starts 9. Returning Staff: Facility will not consider previous staff members for travel assignments; do not submit if traveler previously worked as permanent staff at La Rabida or affiliated clinics 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at same rate as travelers 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Modules are not required 13. Travel Experience: Required 14. Scrubs: Any color, neat and clean; pediatric themed encouraged 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required; accepts medical and religious exemptions 16. Special Equipment: Care of ventilated patients, tracheostomy care, management of gastric tubes Critical: 1:4 ratio experience required. Patient population ages 2 weeks to 18 years. 50-60% of patients have technology dependence. COVID-19 vaccine required with current booster, no exemptions. Compliance document deadline is 2 weeks prior to start.
