- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; pediatric experience required, bare minimum 2 years of specialty experience 2. Cases: 6-7 patients per day average; pediatric population 3. Certifications: BLS required 4. License: MD license required in hand; for DC locations must have compact or DC license; for MD locations must have compact or MD license; for VA locations must have compact or VA license 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner 7. Shifts/Call: Monday-Thursday 8:30AM-6:30PM preferred, open to 5 days per week if needed; every other weekend/holiday required for most units 8. RTO: Maximum 1 week; if full week taken, must add extra week at end of contract; 6 days max; RTO submitted after offer will not be approved; one holiday guaranteed 9. Returning Staff: If previous employment with Children's National, must be gone minimum 1 year to return as traveler 10. Travel/Local: No mile restrictions for locals; locals accepted at same bill rate 11. Background: No license or background hits allowed 12. Modules: Up to 20 hours non-billable; pre-start modules completed prior to orientation; must receive timecard for modules 13. Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Any color allowed 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Parallel bars, LiteGait, FES available Critical: Must apply for DC license within 24-48 hours if DC location.
