- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission 2. Cases: Pediatric cardiac and trauma cases; CVOR call required; may help in main OR when CV cases unavailable 3. Certifications: BLS required 4. License: In-state license required; must be in hand prior to start date; pending licenses not accepted 5. Education: University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation 6. EMR: Cerner (no specific charting required for IU health positions) 7. Shifts/Call: CVOR call required; 8 and 10 hour shifts (40 hrs/week), 3x12 hour shifts (36 hrs/week), 4x12 hour shifts (48 hrs/week) 8. RTO: Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; auto-approval for 5 days non-holiday RTO or less 9. Returning Staff: Former IU employees must be away 12 months before applying as traveler 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local; surgical services positions accept locals at lower rate 11. Background: Background policy to be noted prior to submission for approval 12.
