- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years required; 18 months general experience if not otherwise listed 2. Cases: Pediatric MedSurg, Pediatric Step Down/Telemetry experience required; respiratory distress, viral infections, failure to thrive, T&A, sickle cell, dehydration, pyelonephritis, gynecological cases 3. Certifications: BLS and PALS required; must be AHA or Red Cross only, RQI cards not accepted; copies required at submission 4. License: Must have active IL license in hand at submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Night shift (1800-0630), every other weekend required, no on-call, will float as needed, 4:1 patient ratio 8. RTO: Auto-approve 5 or less non-holiday days; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; anything more requires facility approval 9. Returning Staff: Previous perm/PRN candidates must be separated for 12 months before applying as traveler 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted with no radius restriction for this unit (except OR RN which requires 50+ miles) 11. Background: Background check hits must be noted upon submission for approval prior to offer 12. Modules: Non-billable up to 16 hours, completed pre-start, virtual first day with strict 4PM CST deadline 13. Travel Experience: Not specified as required 14. Scrubs: Any solid color 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required with medical/religious exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: Will float to adult units when pediatric census low Critical: Must have pediatric experience with adult work history; screen if only pediatric facility experience. 72-hour orientation.
