- Unit Notes:WILL CONSIDER LEVEL 2 ***MUST HAVE 2 YEARS OF PACU experience*** ICU experience is required PROFILE REVIEW, MANAGER TO CALL FOR INTERVIEW 50 mile radius rule, DL is source of truth, please include with submission, no local rates Medical Solutions Pre-Screens, if clinical recommends, sends to manager for approval to offer, manager may call for 2nd interivew must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance, traveler has 2 attempts., if failed, will be DNU with CS AZ and Sac Region for 6 months *Travel Teams must have their own vehicles *must have natural hair color and no facial piercings *men must clean shave for fit test *pass fail exam on day 1 of orientation - details to follow DAY 1 PASS/FAIL EXAM All RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes, with the exception of NyICU & ED. NyICU only has to do Foley catheter insertion. ED does Foley catheter insertion but does port-a-cath insertion instead of central line dressing change. This is for travelers going to St. Joseph main campus &/or St. Joseph Westgate campus. NOTE - SIMs lab is pass/fail & nurses have been termed during SIMs Lab for breaking sterile field. Those travelers that understand sterile field typically pass SIMs Lab skills (See separate notes for the specific checklist IF traveler asks for additional details). The hospital expects that every nurse is competent in these areas, especially maintaining sterile field, as these are nursing skills that are performed frequently. NOTE: if a candidate indicates that they are not competent in either of these areas, they are probably not a good fit. In addition to SIMs Lab, they will also go through lifts, restraints, & wound care, but these are just educational based since the equipment & policies can be different facility to facility. - Unit: Cardiac Pre and Post - Certs: BLS, ACLS - Ratios: 1:2 - EMR: Cerner - Charge Nurse: Yes - Weekend Requirement: No - Holidays: No - Scrub Color: Provided by the hospital (Blue) - Tele: Phillips - RT 24/7: Yes - Pharmacy 24/7: Yes - Shifts: 3x12s, no block scheduling allowed - Floating: None - Floor specific orientation: 2 days on the floor. - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Cardiac Cath Lab Recovery/ GA and Conscius sedation Cancellation Policy:Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks Charting System:Cerner BSN Required:False License to Submit:Yes, willing to wait Trauma Level:1 Care Setting:Acute Division:Nursing Shift Notes:12hr days, 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, holidays based on unit coverage Required Certifications:ACLS, BLS Certification
