- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 3 years required for submission 2. Cases: Pre/post op experience required in Plastics, ENT, Ortho, Pain, Urology, Ophthalmology, and Pain 3. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required 4. License: Nebraska RN License required; takes 4-6 weeks to obtain; must be in hand at submission or start date will be six weeks out 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Shift 0900-1830 Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri; 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in 4-week period 8. RTO: Must be included at submission; post-confirmation RTO may be denied; Medical Surgical units allow up to two weeks RTO; no RTO during first week of orientation 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Must be more than 100 miles from facility; locals NOT accepted 11. Background: Do not submit RRT and Radiology candidates with license hits 12. Modules: Mandatory charting class Friday of orientation week; 24 orientation hours 13. Travel Experience: Yes, required; first time travelers NOT accepted 14. Scrubs: Mandatory Steele gray scrubs with Nebraska Medicine logo or gray T-shirts from company store; OR scrubs provided by facility 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Not required 16.
