- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of PACU required 2. Cases: 120-140 cases/day; General, General/Trauma, Thoracic, Surg Onc, Gender Affirming Surgeries, Recons Breast, Bariatric, Colorectal, Ortho, Uro, Gyne, Spine, Neuro, Spine/Neuro Trauma, Cardiac, Vascular, Peds, Plastic, Hand, Foot/Ankle, Liver, Kidney, Organ Transplants, IR, Endoscopy, EENT, Pain, Ophthalmology 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required; CCRN preferred 4. License: Valid permanent CA RN License required at submission; temporary licensure not accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic charting highly preferred 7. Shifts/Call: Weekend coverage as needed; floating required; no on-call; no scheduling requests accommodated 8. RTO: Maximum two weeks total; no RTO within first two weeks of start date; holiday RTO at manager discretion 9. Returning Staff: Previous permanent employees must be gone 24 months; all past Cedars employment must be included on profile 10. Travel/Local: No radius rule; locals accepted at same rate 11. Background: Any license or background hit requires detailed written statement; reviewed case-by-case 12. Modules: 10-40 hours; first 17 hours billable, remainder non-billable; completed pre-start and during orientation 13. Travel Experience: First time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - no exemptions 16. Special Equipment: Conscious sedation IV start, Pulmonary Artery Lines, Tele Vents, PCA, Epidural, invasive monitoring (A line, PA, EVD, ICP) Critical: Two supervisor references required; Nursys report within last two weeks; 100+ Preop PACU bays; RN must work in all areas; primarily adult population.
