Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 3 years required; 3+ years preferred 2. Cases: 12 service lines including gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, lap band, laparoscopic assisted cases, abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, carotid procedures, neck surgeries, general surgery procedures, gynecological procedures, neurosurgery, orthopedic procedures, robotic surgery, thoracic procedures, and urological procedures 3. Certifications: CST required (unless worked as tech in NY prior to 2015), NBSTSA 4. License: NY license required in hand to submit 5. Education: Must alert account manager if traveler has foreign education requiring verification 6. EMR: Epic experience is a hard requirement 7. Shifts/Call: Call required; either 11a-9:30p or 1p-11:30p with flexibility; 6 weekend shifts per 8-week contract including holidays 8. RTO: Cannot submit anyone with more than 10 days RTO; pre-approved time off: none 9. Returning Staff: 1 year return policy; previous charge experience required 10. Travel/Local: Must be more than 75 miles from facility (50+ miles mentioned elsewhere) 11. Background: Reviewed on case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Billable up to 5 hours; total may reach 10 hours with excess non-billable; completed pre-start, vary by specialty, recorded via facility report 13. Travel Experience: Required; first-time travelers not accepted 14. Scrubs: Provided by facility 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Da Vinci Xi Surgical System experience included in skills Critical: Patient ratio 1:1, float required, trauma level II experience preferred, COVID-19 vaccine not required.
