- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1.5 years minimum required 2. Cases: CVOR and Trauma work settings required; Cardiac and Vascular surgery cases; multi-specialty procedures including Vascular, General, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic, Urology, EENT, OB/GYN, Plastics, OMF, Trauma, Dental, Pediatric, Neonatal, and Endoscopy 3. Certifications: BLS and NBSTSA required 4. License: NC or Compact license required in hand at time of start 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 10-hour days 0630-1630; 2 days call per week and every third weekend 8. RTO: Auto approve 7 days or less (not on holidays); more requires facility approval; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; no RTO during first week due to orientation 9. Returning Staff: Previous employees must wait 12 months; facility rehire approval needed; must disclose previous employment 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at lower rate for addresses under 50 miles 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Non-billable; Acute Care roles 8-10 hours, completed pre-start and annually via online learning, Zoom, webinar, and in-person classes 13. Travel Experience: Required 14. Scrubs: Provided by facility 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: Fire Safety, Aseptic Technique, Laser Safety, Sharp Safety, Specimen Handling/labeling, Sterilization/Disinfection, Universal Protocol Critical: Must complete lab work within 48 hours after signing. Float required to Main OR and Vascular OR. Experience with Adults through Geriatrics required. Two manager/supervisor references from past 12 months highly preferred.
