- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; must have open heart experience and be flexible to work all other service lines (general, gyn, vascular, urology, podiatry, ortho, spine) 2. Cases: Open heart experience required; general, gyn, vascular, urology, podiatry, ortho, spine experience 3. Certifications: BLS, CST required; current CPR certification required; certified tech preferred but not required 4. License: Any state RN license ok; can apply for temp license on offer (takes 5-10 days); compact license accepted; facility does not accept any past license action 5. Education: High School graduate or GED required; graduation from accredited school of surgical technology or Associate of Arts Degree in Surgical Technology or 10 plus years experience as Surgical Technologist 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Days 5x8s; call required at minimum 1-2 days per week and minimum one weekend (every 5th weekend Fri 3pm-Mon 7am) 8. RTO: Request RTO with initial submittal; no RTO added after offer; approval at manager's discretion; no more than 14 days allowed; all requests must be on front page of application at submittal 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Nursing locals not accepted; 50-mile radius for nursing 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Up to 24 hours billable; 18-24 average hours; completed during orientation and up to 8 hours annually; self-reported to manager 13. Travel Experience: Not specified as required 14.
