Requirements

- Active California RN license required before start
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 3 years of OR experience required 2. Cases: Must be able to circulate and scrub in Ortho-Joints, Ortho, ENT, Ophthalmology; experience required in General, Endo/Lap, Gyn, Plastics, Podiatry Surgery 3. Certifications: AHA BLS & ACLS, PDRN required 4. License: Current CA RN license required 5. Education: BSN required for all RN positions 6. EMR: Not specified 7. Shifts/Call: 10 hour days; must be willing to float to other UCSF units and facilities (within 75+ radius) 8. RTO: All tentative RTO must be included at time of submittal; additional requests mid-contract will not be accepted; auto-offer units limited to 1-week total RTO 9. Returning Staff: Must be separated for minimum 1 year from permanent position before eligible for consideration as traveler 10. Travel/Local: Must have prior travel within 12 months 11. Background: Must include ANY employment with University of California medical facilities in employment history 12. Modules: 8 hours non-billable included in NBO; anything over 24 hours is billable; completed during pre-start and annually 13. Travel Experience: Yes, required within 12 months 14. Scrubs: Scrub Ortho required 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Airway management and aseptic technique required Critical: COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions; proof must be attached. Prior teaching hospital experience preferred. Strong ortho and scrubbing experience required.
