- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 3 years required 2. Cases: Diverse experience required in ortho-total joint and trauma, Neuro, GYN/Urology, Vascular, Thoracic; extensive list of surgical procedures including General OR, bariatric, vascular, thoracic, ENT, gynecological, neurosurgical, orthopedic, plastic, podiatric, and urological procedures 3. Certifications: BLS required, CNOR preferred 4. License: NY license required in hand to submit 5. Education: Foreign education must be verified if applicable 6. EMR: EPIC experience is a hard requirement 7. Shifts/Call: 9-7:30 and 11-9:30 shifts that can alternate throughout the week; call required; block scheduling preferred but not guaranteed 8. RTO: Cannot submit anyone with more than 10 days RTO; minimal RTO preferred 9. Returning Staff: 1 year return staff policy 10. Travel/Local: Candidates within 75 miles not accepted 11. Background: Reviewed on case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Billable up to 5 hours, total may reach 10 hours; excess over 5 hours non-billable; completed pre-start via facility report 13. Travel Experience: Required; first-time travelers not accepted 14. Scrubs: Teal 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Da Vinci Xi Surgical System mentioned Critical: RNs need mandatory competency with phlebotomy and IV placement. Candidates will float. Patient ratios 1:1 for days and nights. Unit has 14 beds.
