Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 3 years required 2. Cases: Ortho-total joint and trauma, Neuro, GYN/Urology, Vascular, Thoracic experience required 3. Certifications: BLS and CNOR required; phlebotomy and IV placement competency mandatory 4. License: NY license required in hand to submit 5. Education: Foreign education requires verification at submittal 6. EMR: EPIC experience is a hard requirement 7. Shifts/Call: 10-hour evening shifts primarily (1-11:30 pm), call required, flexibility to other shifts with advance notice 8. RTO: Cannot submit anyone with more than 10 days RTO, minimal RTO preferred 9. Returning Staff: 1 year policy 10. Travel/Local: Candidates within 75 miles not accepted 11. Background: Reviewed on case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Up to 5 hours billable, total may reach 10 hours; excess over 5 hours non-billable; completed pre-start 13. Travel Experience: Yes, first time travelers not accepted 14. Scrubs: Teal 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Da Vinci Xi Surgical System Critical: Candidates will float. Patient ratios 1:1 days and nights. Block scheduling available but not guaranteed. 14 beds in unit.
