- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of OR RN experience required 2. Cases: Must have experience with Lap chole, Lap appy, Ex lap, I&D, Bariatric, Colorectal, PEG & Trach, DaVinci cases; Must be predominantly 3/4 in Ortho AND/OR Neuro skillsets; Ortho Trauma, Ortho Joints, Ortho Spine experience required 3. Certifications: BLS required, ACLS required 4. License: Nebraska RN License required (takes 4-6 weeks to obtain, must be in hand at submission or start date will be six weeks out) 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic 7. Shifts/Call: Day shift with possible night shift rotation; Weeknight call 1-2 nights/week; Weekend call every 4-5 weeks (24 hours Saturday OR Sunday); 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in 4-week period; Block schedule cannot be accommodated 8. RTO: Must be included at time of submission, post-confirmation RTO may be denied; No RTO during first week of orientation; Up to two weeks RTO allowed for Medical Surgical units 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Must be more than 100 miles from facility; Locals not accepted 11. Background: Do not submit candidates with license hits (for RRT and Radiology) 12. Modules: Mandatory charting class Friday of orientation week; Bi-weekly orientation 13. Travel Experience: Yes, required; First time travelers not accepted 14. Scrubs: OR scrubs provided by facility; RNs must wear Steele gray scrubs with Nebraska Medicine logo 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Not required 16. Special Equipment: DaVinci experience highly preferred; S&N equipment for joint revisions Critical: 100% Nicotine Free Facility. Must go to labs within 48-72 hours from accepting offer.
