- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; must have experience circulating and in Level 1 trauma 2. Cases: CABG, Valves, LVAD, Transplants, Endo vascular, Open vascular; 60 cases daily with 8-10 hearts 3. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required 4. License: DC RN License required (pending DC license accepted if applied, but must have license prior to start date) 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 or 4x12 shifts (Day 0630-1900, Evening 1100-2330); 6 calls per 6-week schedule, one weekend or holiday per 6-week schedule 8. RTO: No RTO permitted during first two weeks; maximum 7 days per 13-week contract; must be included at submittal 9. Returning Staff: Previous MedStar employees must have been separated for minimum one year before returning as traveler 10. Travel/Local: 60-mile local radius; locals accepted at lower rate; candidate address must match driver's license 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Sitel modules must be completed within one week of signing contract; billable up to 4 hours, average 12 hours duration; completed pre-start and during orientation 13.
