- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 3+ years required 2. Cases: Open heart adult surgery, CABG, Valves (aortic, mitral and pulmonic) 3. Certifications: BLS required, CNOR preferred; required at time of submission 4. License: Active NJ or Compact license required at time of submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC 7. Shifts/Call: 32 total call hours per month, about 1 weekend/month 24 hour call both days 8. RTO: Any schedule requests must be sent with submittal and approved before offer; RTO after offer will NOT be accommodated; must be available to work 2 of 3 holidays 9. Returning Staff: RWJBH staff must be gone from system minimum 1 year before eligible for travel assignments 10. Travel/Local: First-time travelers will be considered but travel experience highly preferred; locals accepted at same rate 11. Background: Open/active background hits and/or license hits NOT accepted 12. Modules: Non-billable; 4 hours EPIC training and up to 18 hours additional; average 18 hours total; completed pre-start and annually 13. Travel Experience: Highly preferred but will consider first-time travelers 14. Scrubs: Provided 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Knowledge of Impella and HeartMate devices, ECMO, laser lead extractions, and TAVR required Critical: Must float to Main OR if no CVOR cases during shift. Scrub required for open CVOR cases. Circulate and TAVR highly preferred. Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing. Maximum 3 submissions per candidate per facility.
