- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; open heart OR experience required 2. Cases: CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Graft), Mitral, Tricuspid and Aortic valve replacement or repair, Aortic dissections, pericardial window, chest cases like Thoracotomies and VATS; robotic experience in chest cases preferable 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS required 4. License: License in hand required with submission 5. Education: Education verification through 3rd party required; facility will not accept education from schools on Diploma Fraud Florida Education Audit list 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 4x10s, Days, 7a-530p; Call required - 30 min call response time, non-negotiable 8. RTO: RTO due at time of submission; RTO after submission will not be accepted; one pre-approved time off 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: 50-mile radius; no locals accepted; submission must include current DL to confirm address for local rule 11. Background: Facility will not accept any open cases on background check 12. Modules: 2-4 hours average, completed during orientation, not included in NBO; non-billable; unit-based hours vary 13. Travel Experience: Yes, required; no first time travelers unless candidate has open heart OR experience 14. Scrubs: Scrub strongly preferred 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: ECMO, LVAD, Impella experience required; skills include IABP, TAVR, Ventricular Assist Device Critical: Pass/Fail EKG exam required for all RNs regardless of specialty during compliance; 2 attempts allowed; study material not provided. Trauma Level II experience required. Compliance deadline is 12 noon EST Wednesday prior to start date. Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences. COVID-19 vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only.
