Job Description
Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – CVORShift: Days / 6:30a-5p, 10×4, 40 hrs per week, M-F
Length: 13 Weeks
With rotating day off; Call – up to 2 overnight/week and 4 weekends per 13 week contract
Requirements:
- IA/Compact License
- 2+ years of current/recent operating room experience
- Strong & proficient experience in: Cardiac, vascular, thoracic experience
- Circulating / operating room experience
- Basic General Surgery circulating experience
- Scrub experience needed including open heart scrubbing experience
- EPIC electronic medical systems experience within previous 3 years
- BLS AHA
- Experience in the following cases: (daVinci robotics, pediatrics, trauma, Neurology, orthopedics (primarily trauma), gynecology, urology, transplants, plastics, Ear, nose, throat, Vascular) preferred
- Trauma Level I experience highly preferred
- Trauma level II experience highly preferred
- Scrub or Circulate – both would be preferred
Other Details:
- EMR: EPIC
- No 1st time travelers, must have completed a travel assignment within previous 2 years
- Avg. caseload – Average 35-50 cases per day. Expectation for turnovers is less than 20 minutes
- Special equipment – 3 Davinci robots. Use Stealth technology for Neuro navigation and use primarily Synthes or Stryker for ortho trauma. We don’t do many ortho joints
- How many suites – 16 OR’s. Run from 12-14 routinely. As a level 1 trauma center, we reserve space for traumas
- Service lines – Cardiac/ PV, Neuro, ortho (primarily trauma), robotics, gyn, uro, general, pediatrics, transplants. We do a small volume of ENT and plastic procedures
- Local Radius rule: 50 miles
- Patient Ratios: 1:1
- Bed Size: 16
