- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission 2. Cases: Extensive OR experience including abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, appendectomy, arthroscopy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, robotic surgery (Da Vinci Xi), craniotomy, laparoscopic procedures, total joint replacement, and many other surgical procedures 3. Certifications: BLS required; PALS preferred; must be AHA or American Red Cross 4. License: SC or Multi State/Compact RN license required; SC license prioritized, pending licenses considered with proof of application 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: Day shift 4x10s, 6:30am-5:00pm; up to one call day per week starting at 5pm; 1-2 call days weekly, 1 call weekend every 5 weeks 8. RTO: All RTO must be included at submission; auto offers for 7 days or less non-holiday RTO; 7+ days or holidays require facility approval 9. Returning Staff: Previous permanent staff (including PRN) must be separated from MUSC system for 1 year before returning as traveler 10. Travel/Local: 60-mile radius; locals accepted at 10% less posted bill rate and must be HR approved; non-locals prioritized 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: 4 hours average, non-billable, included in NBO hours, completed pre-start, reported by facility 13. Travel Experience: First time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Hospital-issued OR scrubs provided 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required with medical/religious exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: Radiation badge required and must be provided by agency Critical: Hurricane season emergency response team assignment possible June-November. Charge experience preferred.
