- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 4+ years required for submission; first-timers not accepted 2. Cases: General OR including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic procedures, mastectomy, thyroidectomy, hysterectomy, orthopedic procedures, urological procedures, and various other surgical specialties 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required 4. License: SC license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start; SC license prioritized 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic 7. Shifts/Call: 5x8 hour day shifts (6:45a-3:15p); weekday call 3pm-7am per rotation; weekend coverage typically every 4th weekend 8. RTO: Must be included at time of submission; auto offers available for 7 days or less non-holiday RTO; approval based on facility needs 9. Returning Staff: Previous permanent staff must be separated from MUSC system for 1 year before returning as traveler 10. Travel/Local: 60-mile radius; locals accepted case-by-case at 10% less than posted rate; non-locals prioritized; local candidates require HR approval 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Average 4 hours; non-billable; included in NBO hours; completed pre-start 13. Travel Experience: Required 14. Scrubs: Surgical scrubs provided by facility 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required with medical/religious exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: Da Vinci Xi Surgical System, Hana Table Critical: Float required to other campus if needed.
