- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years required 2. Cases: BMT/HEME/MED Oncology Experience required (BMT experience is a hard stop requirement); Strong Med Surg Experience also considered 3. Certifications: BCLS, ONS Chemo certification required (will also accept ONS "Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration" course certificate); BSN preferred; OCN preferred 4. License: DC license required (pending DC license accepted but MUST have license prior to start date) 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Cerner experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Rotate Day/Night every other weekend; Float required within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity 8. RTO: No RTO permitted during first two weeks; No more than 7 days per 13-week contract; Must be included at submittal and cannot be changed 9. Returning Staff: Nurses with previous MedStar employment must have been separated for minimum of one year before returning as traveler 10. Travel/Local: 60-mile local radius; Local candidates accepted at lower rate; Candidate's address must match driver's license 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Facility and unit-specific Sitel modules must be completed within one week of signing contract; Average 12 hours duration; Billable up to 4 hours; Completed pre-start and potentially during orientation 13. Travel Experience: Must complete minimum of 1 travel assignment to be considered 14. Scrubs: Not provided by facility; Any color without other hospital logos 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required with no exemptions 16. Special Equipment: Not specified Critical: Must complete labs and DS appointment within 48 hours of signing.
