- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years RN experience required 2. Cases: Med Surg or Oncology; oncology experience preferred but not required 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; ONS chemo/bio cert preferred; must be AHA for BLS, ACLS, PALS if required by unit 4. License: WV or Compact License; pending license acceptable 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 or 4x12s Days, weekdays, every other weekend 8. RTO: Two pre-approved time off requests; should be included on application at submittal 9. Returning Staff: Permanent employees cannot return as travelers for 2 years after last date worked permanent; current Vandalia Health System employees not eligible for travel contracts 10. Travel/Local: Must have permanent address greater than 100 miles from facility; facility will consider 75-100 miles case-by-case with same rate 11. Background: Previous probationary actions on license considered case-by-case 12. Modules: 8 hours average, non-billable, completed prior to start, not included in 16 hours NBO, recorded on transcript 13. Travel Experience: Not required 14. Scrubs: Not provided by hospital; burgundy and/or white required 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - medical exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: Not specified Critical: Facility will only tolerate 2-3 call offs per contract. Minimum 2 manager/charge references within past 2 years required.
