- Unit Notes:ASANTE ITEMS OF NOTE: - Local Radius: Client does not accept local candidates and has a 50-mile radius restriction. - Call Off Policy: Client may call off or cancel up to 24 hours per 13 weeks. - Non-Billable Orientation Hours: 12 hours of non-billable orientation for first work week. Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation. - Licensure: Non-Oregon Licensed RNs can apply and be eligible for a 90-day temporary license if their permanent license is not posted before the start of their assignment. Department: MedSurg Oncology | RN - # Beds: 32 - Nurse:Patient Ratios: Ratio on days 4-5:1. Ratio on nights 4-6:1. - Required certifications: BLS required, ONS preferred, CHPN preferred, OCN preferred. - Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Medical oncology (needs will be specified in submission if they need to be chemo certified or not) Per C.Willis on 5.24.23--A.Anderson, RN MS overflow. General assessments, IV starts, portacath access, medication administration. - Experience or 'Must have' skills: 2 years of experience required, MS experience required. Chemo experience only required if noted in interview queue submission. Require competence with chest tubes, central lines, heparin drips. - Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Not required. - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: n/a - Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips?: Not required. - Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: There is a charge nurse. They will rarely take patients. - Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: CNAs 1:8 ratio. - RT Equipment: CPAP, High Flow. - Shifts & Scheduling: No Self scheduling or block scheduling. - Weekend Requirement: Yes - Holiday Requirement: Yes - Is there Call or a Standby requirement?: Standby for low census. - Floating Requirements?: Heart Center, General Medicine, Post-Surgical, Ortho-Neuro. - Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided?: Scrubs, any color acceptable. No tattoos above shoulders can be shown, and only facial piercings allowed is nose stud. Natural hair color only (no green/purple/blue etc). - Unit/Department specific orientation: Two 12 hour shifts.
