Requirements
- Required certification: Oncology
- 1+ years of experience
- Unit Notes:75 mile radius from the travelers driver's license to the facility. Must provide this information at time of submit. Unit Oncology-7th floor and outpatient, travelers will only work on floor # beds 29 beds Certs BLS, prefer NIHSS, ONS if want to do chemo-2 years of experience required in specialty, no first-time travelers Ratios 1:5, on occasion 1:6 EMR Meditech Charge Nurse Charge Nurse out of the staffing grid, unless unusual circumstances. Nurse Aides Yes, generally 3 per day Shifts 6:45-7:15 Weekend Requirement Every other weekend Holidays- Rotate in w/ staff Scrub Color- Carribean Blue Tele Yes, central monitor, not a requirement to read strips Floating - Rarely, to medical acute Floor specific orientation- 3 days Common diagnosis / Types of patient s - Acute oncology symptoms, thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, sickle cell crisis, hematology, medical overflow, oncology, end of life care Additional Notes- Outpatient area patients-- will come to floor and finish treatment if running late and outpatient area closes Cancellation Policy:12 hours every 2 weeks Charting System:MEDITECH BSN Required:False License to Submit:Yes Trauma Level: Care Setting:Acute Division:Nursing Shift Notes: Required Certifications:BLS (AHA), NIHSS
