- Unit Notes:Department: Occupational Therapy - Unit: Occupational Therapy Nampa Hospital Flr 2 - # of patients treated per day: 8-10. 2-3 therapists per day. - General Certification Requirements: BLS - Other Certs Required for all OT: State License - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: neurologic-CVA, MS, Parkinson, Guillain Barre; general medical, orthopedic-total joints and fractures, cardiac-pacers, oncology. - Acute Inpatient, Acute Rehab, Skilled, Outpatient: Acute inpatient adults - What areas are they required to cover: All acute care adult population except ICU. Travelers only cover ICU if they have previous strong ICU experience. - Experience or 'Must have' skills & common job duties: Must have 1 year of acute care experience (acute rehab is not the same as acute care and may not be sufficient enough) as a licensed therapist. Okay with first time travelers. Must be able to evaluate & treat adult acute care patients, provide discharge recommendations, communicate safe mobility plans to interdisciplinary team. - EMR: EPIC - Is there an OT Manager/Supervisor on each shift: Manager - Do you staff Rehab Aides: no COTAs. 2 Rehab Aides. - Shifts & Scheduling: 4, 10 hour days per week. 730-1800. 8 week schedule, try to work with requests, no self scheduling. - Weekend Requirements: 40% of weekend days, typically every other full weekend with occasionally 2 weekends off in a row. - Holiday Requirements: Travelers almost never work holidays, will work if there is a need. - Scrub Color/Dress Code: Any color scrubs or business casual - How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation: at least 2 days onboarding with experienced staff OT preceptor. - Additional Notes: On the first week, travelers should plan on working M-F 5 8 s to accommodate the onboarding schedule. **This facility has a radius rule of 50 miles. To ensure adherence to this rule, we will require the candidates' perm address in the submittal to confirm they are outside of that specified radius before proceeding with the profile review.** Date Entered On: 3/5/2024 Cancellation Policy:Hospital may cancel up to 4 times per contract.
