- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1.5 years required for submission (VMS notes also reference 2 years); first-time travelers accepted 2. Cases: Pediatric Feeding Disorder, Oral Aversion, Feeding Difficulties, Dysphagia, ARFID, Failure to Thrive, Autism, Developmental Delay, Motor Delay, Fine Motor Delay, Sensory Processing Difficulties, varied genetic and developmental diagnoses; experience in assessment and treatment of pediatric patients with feeding/eating difficulties required; swallowing disorder experience preferred; patient age range 18 months and older required, 8 months and older preferred; children's hospital experience preferred, not required 3. Certifications: BLS (AHA) required; NBCOT required; copies should be confirmed at submission; all certs must be AHA 4. License: CA OT License required; if licensed in another state, may use 60-day rule to practice in CA while obtaining CA license (takes 6-8 weeks after all required docs received); must be willing to obtain CA license upon offer 5. Education: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA accredited program required; OR Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA accredited program if graduated prior to 2004 6. EMR: Epic; charting experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 4x10s, 0800-1830, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (Wednesday off); start and end times may vary approximately 30 minutes due to paperwork; patient care hours 0800-1800; no on-call requirements; may be called off based on patient volume; hours guaranteed after call-off policy has been met 8. RTO: 6 days RTO maximum 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Locals not accepted 11. Background: Not specified 12. Clinician must have ability to independently evaluate and treat a full caseload with primary referral reason of pediatric feeding disorder. Experience in pediatric general developmental occupational therapy also required. Parking is free for travelers.
