Requirements
- Required certification: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 5 years required; unit does not accept first time travelers 2. Cases: Nuclear medicine procedures including gastric emptying, HIDA scan, MUGA scan, bone scans, brain scans, liver/spleen scans, lung scans, renal flow studies, shunt studies, thyroid studies, tumor localization, SPECT, and myocardial studies 3. Certifications: ARRT N and CNMT required 4. License: NC or Compact license required in hand at time of start; pending OK for submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 0830-1700 blocked Monday-Friday with rotating nights call; every 3rd weekend required 8. RTO: Auto approve 7 days or less (no holidays); more requires facility approval; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; no RTO during first week due to orientation 9. Returning Staff: Previous Novant Health or New Hanover employees must wait 12 months before applying as traveler; must disclose previous employment 10. Travel/Local: Under 50 miles offered lower local rate; floating within hospital or to affiliate hospitals required 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Non-billable; 4-5 hours for non-acute roles; must be completed pre-start and annually via online learning, Zoom, webinar, and in-person classes 13.
