Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; full time level III NICU experience required (floating not acceptable); level IV highly preferred 2. Cases: NICU level III required; extreme prematurity (22 weeks and above), cardiac anomalies, neurologic conditions, post-op care 3. Certifications: BLS, NRP required; Dr Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certificate required (can submit pending, costs $185); copies required with submission 4. License: Will accept pending licenses but must have license in-hand Wednesday before start date; Nursys verification required for submittal 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Days 13 weeks, patient ratios 1:2 days, 1:2-3 nights and weekends; float required to PICU, Peds, Postpartum, L&D 8. RTO: Maximum 40 hours guaranteed per 13-week contract; no additional requests approved after acceptance; cannot approve time off first two weeks 9. Returning Staff: Must inform if previously employed at University of Virginia Health system; requires one year separation and UVA leadership approval; cannot return after working 365 days total regardless of separation 10. Travel/Local: Select units have 50-mile travel restriction; this unit not specifically listed as restricted 11. Background: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if aware of background hits 12. Modules: Non-billable up to 16 hours, excess billable; completed during orientation, recorded in Workday; 36 orientation hours 13. Travel Experience: Not specified as required 14.
