Requirements

- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum with 1 year of direct MedSurg experience required 2. Cases: Primary neuroscience unit caring for strokes, seizures, subdural hematomas, SAH, ICH, brain tumors 3. Certifications: BCLS, NIH, NIHSS required; ACLS preferred but not required 4. License: NC or Compact license required in hand at time of start 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 12-hour nights, every other weekend required, 1:6 ratios 8. RTO: Auto approve 7 days or less if not on holiday; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; no RTO during first week; RTO after booking not allowed 9. Returning Staff: Previous Novant Health/New Hanover employees must wait 12 months before applying as traveler 10. Travel/Local: Candidates under 50 miles offered lower local rate 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Non-billable; Acute Care roles 8-10 hours; must be completed pre-start via online learning, Zoom, webinar, and in-person classes 13. Travel Experience: Will NOT accept first-time travelers; must have at least 2 successful contracts 14. Scrubs: Navy 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: Neurosurgical patients care, 4 bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit Critical: Must pass EKG testing prior to start. Must be available for lab work within 48 hours after signing.
