- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission (1+ years within specialty); travel experience preferred 2. Cases: 8 East: Oncology, Hematology, Nephrology, Endo; 8 West: Dermatology, ENT, GI, General med surg 3. Certifications: BLS required, OCN preferred; NIH preferred; travelers allowed to get certifications before starting 4. License: NY State License required (must have at least applied if still pending); submit with recent Nursys 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required 7. Shifts/Call: Patient ratios days 1:5, nights 1:6; weekend coverage required; travelers float first per union contract 8. RTO: Preferred 7 days or less 9. Returning Staff: Permanent staff cannot return as traveler within a year 10. Travel/Local: 75-mile radius; locals accepted at lower rate ($10 less than BR) 11. Background: Not specified 12.
