Requirements
- Required certification: Med/Surg
- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years required; Med/Surg experience required; ortho trauma experience required 2. Cases: Bariatric weight loss surgery, plastic surgeries, general level burn wound management, med/surg overflow, post-op gynecologic surgeries 3. Certifications: BLS required; must be AHA or American Red Cross only (RQI cards not accepted) 4. License: Must have active IL license in hand at submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 Days (1845-0715); will work every other weekend; no on-call required; will float to other units within scope as needed 8. RTO: Ideally no more than 5 days; can auto-approve 5 or less days of non-holiday RTO; candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: Previous perm/PRN candidates must be separated for 12 months before applying as traveler 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted with no radius restrictions for this specialty 11. Background: Background check hits must be noted upon submission for approval prior to offer 12. Modules: Non-billable up to 16 hours; completed pre-start; first day is virtual at-home day; strict deadlines (4PM CST on Day 1) 13. Travel Experience: Required 14. Scrubs: Any solid color 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required (medical/religious exemptions only) 16. Special Equipment: Bariatric graded lifts (hoyer and sit-to-stand); drips include Heparin Critical: Patient ratio 5-7; 24-hour orientation; guaranteed hours policy allows facility to call-off up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment; compliance must be completed within 1 week of signing contract.
