Requirements
- Required certification: Med/Surg
- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 1 year required (18 months according to general facility policy) 2. Cases: Orthopedic elective surgeries (total joint replacements, spine surgeries), trauma patients, osteomyelitis and infections requiring long-term IV antibiotics 3. Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred; must be AHA or Red Cross only (RQI cards not accepted) 4. License: Must have active IL license in hand at submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 weekend days (Friday-Sunday OR Saturday-Monday), no on-call required 8. RTO: Auto-approved up to 5 days non-holiday; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: Former Memorial employees must be away 12 months before applying as traveler 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted with no radius requirement (Exception: OR RNs must be 50+ miles from facility) 11. Background: Must be noted prior to submission for approval before offer 12. Modules: Sent Friday before start, must be completed by 4pm CST on first day; non-billable up to 16 hours 13. Travel Experience: Previous travel experience preferred 14. Scrubs: Any solid color 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required (medical/religious exemptions only) 16. Special Equipment: Slings, walkers, canes, traction, casts, IV pumps, tube feeding pumps, syringe pumps, PAS boot machines, vital sign monitors, vein finder Critical: Required skills include PICC line management, starting/maintaining IVs, telemetry experience preferred. Will float to other Med Surg departments. Lab appointment, documents and badge photo must be completed within 1 week of signing contract.
