- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required 2. Cases: Stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injuries, limb loss, heart failure LVAD, ortho 3. Certifications: BLS required; mandatory competency with phlebotomy and IV placement 4. License: NY license required in hand to submit 5. Education: Alert account manager if traveler has foreign education requiring verification 6. EMR: EPIC experience is a hard requirement 7. Shifts/Call: Float required to MS; weekend coverage every other weekend; ratios 1:5 days, 1:12 nights 8. RTO: Cannot submit anyone with more than 10 days RTO; will not allow more than 1 week RTO in contract 9. Returning Staff: 1 year return staff policy 10. Travel/Local: Candidates within 75 miles not accepted 11. Background: Reviewed on case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Pre-start modules, billable up to 5 hours, total may reach 10 hours, excess over 5 hours non-billable, recorded via facility report 13. Travel Experience: Unit accepts first time travelers 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Hoyer Lift, Sit to stand lift, slide board Critical: 25-bed acute rehab unit caring for adults and pediatric patients. Knowledge of rehabilitation nursing, quality indicators, interdisciplinary teamwork, bowel and bladder training required. CRRN certification preferred but not required.
