- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required (M/S Ortho experience) 2. Cases: Orthopedics and joints focus; total knee replacement, total hip replacement, spinal fusions, some women's overflow including hysterectomies 3. Certifications: BLS required; must pass EKG testing prior to start 4. License: NC or Compact license (pending OK for submittal) 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC required 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 hour nights (18:45-07:15); float required; weekend coverage every other; no call requirement 8. RTO: Up to 7 days auto approved (no holidays); must work 2 of 3 major holidays; no RTO during first week; all RTO must be pre-approved; cannot request additional RTO after signing 9. Returning Staff: Former Novant/New Hanover employees must wait 12 months before applying; disclosure required with hospital name/dates employed at submission 10. Travel/Local: Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at lower rate; will accept first time travelers 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Required, non-billable (expect 2-10 hours) 13.
