Epic Travel Staffing is hiring an Interim – Nurse Director – Operating Room

Shift: Days, 7a-5p, 10×4, 40 hrs per week
Alternate schedule available: 9a-5p, 8×5
Duration: 13 weeks

Requirements:

• NY State RN license (Required)
• Minimum 6-8 years of nursing experience (Required)
• Minimum 3-5 years of operating room experience (Required)
• Minimum 2-5 years of leadership/management experience (Required)
• OR Cardiac surgery and Abdominal Transplant experience (Preferred)
• Experience in a quaternary care facility (Preferred)
• BLS (American Heart Association) (Required)
• CNOR (Preferred)
• NE-BC (Preferred)
• Master’s Degree, with Bachelor’s or Master’s in Nursing (Required)

Other Details:

• Oversees Cardiac Surgery OR (Open Heart, Structural Heart, Heart and Lung Transplant), General Surgery, Abdominal Transplant, Robotic Surgery, IBD, Vascular Surgery, Thoracic, and Plastics
• Manages 90 employees with 3 direct reports (Nurse Managers)
• Volume of 60-70 cases per day; high acuity cases
• Assumes responsibility for overall assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
• Works closely with CNO to develop and operationalize the vision and philosophy for nursing practice across the organization
• Acts as a key stakeholder in development and execution of the overall strategic plan, including service line growth and business development
• Directs continuous strategic and operational oversight and accountability for nursing practice, patient care delivery, human and fiscal resources, and regulatory compliance
• Promotes recruitment, retention, team building, and staff competency
• Temp-to-perm opportunity
