Epic Travel Staffing is hiring an Interim – Nurse Education Manager

Shift: Exempt, Days, 7a-5p or 7a-3p, 10×4 or 8×5, 40 hrs per week, must be flexible for both

Duration: 13 weeks

Requirements:

• Active NY RN License
• 2 years of experience
• Progressive experience in Education and Management/Administration and the assigned clinical specialty
• Critical Care, Med Surg, or Stepdown experience required
• ACLS
• BLS
• ONS Chemotherapy Administration Certification (required if assigned to oncology)
• Professional board certification in clinical specialty preferred
• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN), OR Master’s degree in Nursing or a related Healthcare field with Nursing Education and/or Nursing Leadership experience; candidates enrolled in a graduate program considered with committed close graduation dates
• Master’s in Nursing Education preferred

Other Details:

• Excellent organizational skills required
• Leads nursing practice using the Professional Practice Model of Relationship Centered Care and the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing
• Serves as a professional role model and preceptor for new staff and students
• Oversees development and implementation of the nursing education budget, including capital equipment allocation
• Maintains, reviews, and evaluates educational record keeping and reporting systems
• Position covers 3 inpatient units (Critical Care / Med Surg / Stepdown)
• Demonstrates age-specific competencies across all age groups (Neonate/Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric)
• Accepting local and travel candidates
