- Unit Notes:***No first time travelers*** - Unit: L&D/PP - # L&D Beds: 9 L&D beds - # triage beds: 0 triage beds - # Postpartum beds: 4 postpartum beds - # births per day, per year: 55 births per month - Certs: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN - Ratios: they follow AWOHNN guidelines - FHM System: fetal link - EMR: Cerner - Charge Nurse: yes but they do not take a patient assignment - Nurse Aides/OB tech: OB tech - one on day shift and one on night shift - Weekend Requirement: every other - Call Requirement: no - Holidays: they will work them in with perm staff rotation - Scrub Color: hospital provided - Tele: phillips - OB/Neonataologist in house: on call - IV Team: no - RT 24/7: yes - Pharmacy 24/7: No - use marian for after hours after 10pm - Shifts: 12 hr shifts, 6-6 -C-section experience required: must be able to circulate for csections - Floating: float between PP and L&D, candidates have to have experience with both - Floor specific orientation: 3 shifts - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: 34 weeks and above, high risk deliveries, birth plans are very important and followed by most of patient population - Additional Notes: 2 years experience in L&D/PP required, travel experience is preferred.
