- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1.5 years minimum required (18 months); 2 years listed in qualifications section 2. Cases: Labor & Delivery required; LDRP preferred; Level 1 nursery and OB/delivery; circumcision, external version, C-section 3. Certifications: BLS, ALS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (Advanced also acceptable), ACLS; must be in hand to submit 4. License: Must be in hand prior to start date; temporary licenses obtainable once permanent license applications submitted; IN RN licenses not allowed (except Periop/OR, Allied, Ambulatory exempt) 5. Education: University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation 6. EMR: No specific charting required for IU health positions 7. Shifts/Call: Weekend coverage required; 10 weekend shifts per contract; floating 100% required 8. RTO: Auto-approve 5 days non-holiday RTO; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: Former IU employees must be away 12 months before applying as traveler; consecutive contract policy requires designated breaks 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local; locals accepted for Surgical Services, Allied, IU Clinics at lower rate; not accepted for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, ER 11.
