- Unit Notes:Department: CT/Rad Tech *Certifications Required: BLS, ARRT(R), NDMIRT* NO CLINICAL INVOLVEMENT - How many scanners/rooms does this department have?: 1 CT scanner, 1 mobile xray, 1 general xray, 1 mammo, 1 C-arm - Will they have to float/cover any other areas?: Yes, they will cover both CT and general xray, - Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: We cover a very wide range of studies and a wide range of patients. Very general exams, not much for specialty exams as we are a rural hospital. Job duties would include doing both general xray, including pain exams with the C-arm, and CT. Also sending studies to the radiologist to be read and doing all included paperwork. - Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must have both xray and CT experience - Years Experience required: we are flexible on years of experience - Previous Travel experience required?: Previous travel experience is preferred but not required. - Average # of scans/studies per day: an average of around 20 exams per day during the weekday - EMR and/or PACS used? (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware): McKesson PACS and MediTech - Department Specific Equipment (GE, Phillips, Siemens): Toshiba CT scanner, Siemens mobile and general xray, GE C-arm - Is there a Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech on each shift?: No - Do they use RRAs (Registered Radiology Assistants)?: No - Radiologist in-house?: No - Do they have to start IVs? (if applicable to the department): Yes - Shift Details: 4 days per week, 7:30am-5pm and rotating call on nights and weekends - Do you allow self-scheduling?: No - Do you allow Block scheduling?: No - Weekend Requirements: yes, rotating on call shifts - Holiday Requirements: yes, on call - Call or Standby requirement?: Yes, rotating nights, weekends and holidays - Call Response time?: 30 mins - Scrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided?: Scrubs, no required color. Scrubs are not provided - How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 4-8 shifts of orientation or until they feel comfortable to take call by themselves Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity within the past year. RTO needed upfront - Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
