- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required (must have 2 years experience in large, urban hospital) 2. Cases: Traumatic brain injuries, strokes, epilepsy, head traumas, subarachnoid hemorrhage, ischemic strokes, hemorrhagic strokes, brain tumor, brain trauma 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH required; Joint Commission Stroke Certified Facility experience required; EVD experience required 4. License: Nebraska RN License required; takes 4-6 weeks to obtain; if not in hand at submission, start date will be six weeks out 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC charting experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 3:1 patient ratios days and nights; float required with 2 hours notice; 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in 4-week period 8. RTO: Up to two weeks permitted; must be submitted with application; blackout dates 6/11/26 - 6/22/26; no RTO during first week of orientation; must work 2/3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: First timers NOT accepted (will consider if traveler has 2 years experience at Level I Academic Medical Center) 10. Travel/Local: Must be more than 100 miles from facility; locals NOT accepted 11. Background: Do not submit candidates with license hits (for RRT and Radiology) 12. Modules: Mandatory charting class Friday of orientation week 13. Travel Experience: First timers NOT accepted 14. Scrubs: Mandatory steele gray scrubs with Nebraska Medicine logo on back 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Not required 16. Special Equipment: EVD experience required; GRID patients with EEG leads Critical: 100% nicotine free facility. Must go to labs within 48-72 hours of accepting offer. All contracts must end on Sunday.
