- Unit Notes:Department: 3N MICU RN *Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS* **Local Rate: Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility. Client rates reduced by $8.00/hour. ** - # Beds: 16 - Nurse: Patient Ratios: 1:2, 1:1 higher acuity pts - Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Respiratory, Stroke, neuro, GI, cardiac, etc. - Experience or 'Must have' skills: 2 years ICU experience + 1 year travel experience. Must have Cerner experience. - Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes, many. - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: All ICU drips, propofol, precedex, vaspopressors, etc. - Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? No. - Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: 1 for the unit to support nursing staff. - Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Two pulmonologists for attendings, each with a team of residents during the day. One team on at night. - RT in ICU 24/7: Yes. - RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc): Any and all including Vents, BiPAP/CPAP, vapotherm, trachs, nitric. - Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? Yes. Each RN reads their patient's strips and must be proficient in rhythm interpretation. - Shifts & Scheduling: 0700-1930 and 1900-0730. We allow self-schedule, but they are last to put their hours in. Cannot guarantee block scheduling. - Weekend Requirements: Either every other, or every third based on schedule needs). - Holiday Requirements: Every other holiday (or more if willing/able). - Is there a call or standby requirement? No. - Floating Requirements: Agency are first to float to like units or as a patient observer within hospital. - Scrub Color/Dress Code: No specific color required, clean and professional. - Unit/Department specific orientation: One day hospital orientation. Two days unit orientation. *MUST note in submission if clinician has ever worked for Marshfield.
