Requirements

- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 3 years required; 18 months minimum but refer to job description for unit exceptions 2. Cases: ICU, PCU, MS experience required; must handle ARDS, COPD, STEMI, NSTEMI, DKA, AKI's, UTI's, Acute Shock 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; must be in hand prior to start date 4. License: In-state license required; must be in hand prior to start date; temporary licenses obtainable once permanent applications submitted 5. Education: University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at graduation 6. EMR: Cerner preferred; no specific charting required for IU health positions 7. Shifts/Call: 4x12's 19:00-7:30; floating 100% required between ICU/PCU, MS, and ED 8. RTO: Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; auto-approve 5 days non-holiday RTO or less 9. Returning Staff: Former IU employees must be away 12 months before applying; consecutive contract policy requires breaks after 12 months employment 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local; locals not accepted for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, and ER positions; locals accepted for surgical services at lower rate 11. Background: Policy noted prior to submission for approval prior to offer 12. Modules: Not specified 13. Travel Experience: Yes, required; first timers not accepted 14. Scrubs: Red top, black bottoms 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - medical/religious exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: Ventilator, Arctic Sun, Balloon Pump Critical: Must confirm traveler aware of floating across ICU, MS, PCU and ED. Patient ratios 2-5. Two supervisor references required.
