- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required 2. Cases: Critical Care Float Pool covering Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs (MICU x2), Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU/MICU/NCCU 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required 4. License: Valid compact or state license in hand at time of submission required 5. Education: Must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program 6. EMR: EPIC proficiency required 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12s, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM weekend nights, minimum EOW weekend coverage, float required to different units within OSU organization as needed 8. RTO: Required with submission, must be built into contract 9. Returning Staff: Former employees eligible for travel assignment once away from facility for 6 months or more; current employees ineligible for traveler positions at any Ohio State University hospital location 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at same rate; travel experience required 11. Background: Strict compliance deadline of Tuesday prior to start; urgent Ohio fingerprinting process required immediately after contract signing 12. Modules: 36 orientation hours 13. Travel Experience: Yes, required 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: NIHSS (hardstop), temp pacer, EVD, CT, Vent Critical: Must have IV Start, Telemetry, and Ventilator management experience. Patient ratios 2:1 for all shifts. Two professional references required with at least one from manager/director.
