- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required; 1st timers are accepted 2. Cases: All potential ICU diagnoses; high volume of ventilators and arterial lines 3. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required 4. License: GA or Compact license must be in hand at time of submittal 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required; also uses Pyxis, SBAR 7. Shifts/Call: No call requirements; every other weekend; patient ratio 1:2-3 8. RTO: Maximum 7 days; specific holiday RTO restrictions based on number of holidays during assignment 9. Returning Staff: Must be away 1 full year from all Piedmont facilities; must complete one successful assignment outside Piedmont Health if previous cancel/DNR 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at same rate 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Non-billable, completed during orientation, vary by specialty, recorded via transcripts 13. Travel Experience: Not required 14. Scrubs: Navy blue 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Camino and Codman ICP monitors, BIS monitors, Train of Four monitors, Hemosphere Flotrak, Baxter PrisMax CRRT machine, Glucommander, Alaris IV pumps, Medline bladder scanners, Artic Sun Critical: Must have experience with titration of continuous infusions of sedation agents/pain meds, paralytic agents, and vasopressors. Agency RNs cannot take CRRT patients unless competent on Baxter PrisMax machine. Must be available to submit core items and complete labs within 48 hours of signing contract. Two supervisory references highly preferred. Floating required within facility/scope of practice.
